Ivan Mijatovic

Ivan Mijatovic knows each color so as to unite you imagine yourself in another world.  Born in 1966 in Zenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) where he attended art school. In 1994 came to the Netherlands where he now enjoys great appreciation and recognition.

Art historian Wietske Jansen Schoonhoven wrote about Ivan Mijatovic: The colorful paintings of Ivan Mijatovic have little relationship with the more figurative world. Ivan makes abstract art with nature as inspiration. With a large brush palette knife he builds layer by layer his paintings in acrylics. He then edited parts sand and templates which seems to be a spiritual dream world where everything seems possible.
