We’ve all heard it, ‘When it rains, it pours’ and when the heart bleeds, it bleeds oil. This artwork summarizes October of 2019 for artist, Parsa Afsharjavan as it openly expresses multiple vulnerable experiences such as divorce of his parents and an abrupt ending of an intimate relationship in the same week. The statement, ‘but let’s talk about ingrown hairs’ alludes to the efforts one makes to suppress facing vulnerability and emotional pains. A self portrait of the artist is portrayed standing above a single windowed tower, risen above the clouds.
